Substrate

Susan’s work was exhibited alongside the stunning works of Hannah Alex-Glasser and Kandis Susol at the San Juan Islands Museum’s exhibit Substrate—Underlying Currents. Watch this video directed by Curt Pliler to see how their works are interwoven on different levels with the natural environment, using materials and processes indigenous to the Pacific Northwest region they live in. The work was presented as an embodiment of love, grief and healing for a beautiful, pain-filled world.
